Connecticut General Assembly

When the Legislature is in session, you can get up-to-the-minute status reports of any bill introduced in the House or Senate by calling (860) 240-0555. This information is also available on the Connecticut General Assembly's home page under Quick Search for Bill Status or the search option under Legislative Information.

The legislature's home page contains Lists of Bills, the House calendar, the Senate calendar, the House Journal, the Senate journal, Transcripts and Votes; home pages for the Majority and Minority caucuses as well as each staff office, committee, and legislative agency; and a Legislative Information page with information going back to 1993.

Connecticut Network (CTN)

The Connecticut Network (CTN) airs up to 12 hours of daily live and taped coverage of public hearings and sessions of the CT State Legislature over the Community Colleges Information Television (CCIT) channel and on local access channels. CTN also provides two online streaming video sources.

During official sessions of the General Assembly, you can watch the deliberations of the House of Representatives on Channel One and the State Senate on Channel Two. Whenever the House and Senate are not in session, either channel can be used to watch a variety of live and taped coverage of hearings and meetings of all three branches of state government, as well as other events that relate to public policy in Connecticut.
